Watch dealer found dead a day after brutal jeweler robbery

A watch dealer was found dead the day after he was the victim of a jewelery robbery. Two unarmed men stole a number of high-value watches from the store in Kew Road, Richmond, south-west London, on Saturday, police said.

CCTV footage posted online appears to show a shop worker being suffocated during the raid. Police said the robbery victim was found dead in Shepperton, Surrey, on Sunday.




The death is not being treated as suspicious. The Metropolitan Police said: “We are aware of the death of a man in Surrey on Sunday 26 May. This is being investigated by officers from Surrey Police and is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

“The man who died was the victim of a robbery at a jewelry store in Richmond on Saturday, May 25. We ask that his family’s privacy be respected at this difficult time and that moving CCTV footage of the incident involving the victim is not shared on social media. mass media.”

Police are looking to speak to these two men

Surrey Police said officers were called to a location in Shepperton shortly after 8.15pm on Sunday following reports of a security concern.

“A man in his 20s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene,” the force said. “His next of kin are aware and are being supported.

“Enquiries are still ongoing but his death is not being treated as suspicious.”

On Saturday, the Metropolitan Police released images of two men they want to find following the robbery and said the member of staff was not seriously injured. In the images, one man wears a gray hoodie while the other wears a black and white t-shirt with sunglasses on his head.
