Three key dates revealed for Nuneaton and Bedworth’s upcoming house building plan

Key figures have been revealed for the revised future housing plan for Nuneaton and Bedworth. Independent inspectors were appointed by the Secretary of State to review the revised District Plan.

The crucial plan lays out all future land for housing, employment and leisure in the borough. The revised plan has scrapped proposals for 4,000 “outdated” homes in Coventry, as well as potential housing land in the Woodlands, in Bedworth and Bulkington.

Now that the independent Review of the Plan is underway, inspectors will be holding a series of public meetings. The hearings will be divided into three blocks and will run from summer to autumn.

Once the independent review is complete, a final decision will be made on whether the plan is “sound” and can become official policy.

Block one

The first sessions will take place the week of July 8. Hearings will begin on Tuesday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m. until Friday, July 12, 2024 (these subsequent days will begin at 9:30 a.m.)
