Hollywood star leads tribute as famous faces pay tribute to Jurgen Klopp in emotional farewell

Daniel Craig led the tributes for Jurgen Klopp at the M&S Bank Arena last night.

The legendary manager bid farewell to Reds supporters on an emotional evening at the waterside arena. The 56-year-old took part in a Q&A hosted by John Bishop and Peter McDowall as he reflected on his incredible nine-year tenure at the club.




The night also featured performances from Liverpool bands The Zutons and Lightning Seeds, as well as a spine-tingling rendition of Alfie Boe’s You’ll Never Walk Alone. Klopp has forged a special bond with Liverpool fans during his time at the club and the evening kicked off with a video tribute from a host of famous supporters.

Daniel Craig was the first, when the James Bond actor referred to Klopp as his hero. He said, “In the few precious moments I spent with you. Hand on heart, I said to myself, “I would follow that man anywhere.” Thank you for what you have done and achieved at Liverpool Football Club.


“It’s been quite a ride. Your ability to cut through the grain and get to the heart of what really matters has inspired me and millions of people around the world. So wherever you go and whatever you do, I wish you and your family nothing but joy.”

Will Arnett was next as the Arrested Development star said: “I just want to say thank you for everything you’ve done for Liverpool FC and the city of Liverpool.” The comedian revealed some of Klopp’s LFC branded coats over the years as he joked: “Also, thanks for inspiring me to buy so many Liverpool FC puffers from the website Liverpool F.C. I live in California, man. I don’t need all of them. these down jackets.”
