Calverley Millennium Way walks to raise money for cancer research

The annual eight mile walk around the Calverley town boundaries will take place on Saturday 11th May in what promises to be a warm and sunny day.

The circular walk around the village first took place in 2000, created by local residents, supported by Leeds Council Rotary Club to mark the millennium, has been held regularly since and has raised over £33,000 for charity from the first event. .

This year walkers will meet at the Calverley Arms from 10.30am and the walk starts at 11am. All funds raised this year through sponsorship will go to the World Cancer Research Fund. All welcome – don’t forget the sunscreen!
