Bristol Ikea will celebrate its 25th birthday with a massive weekend party

Family favorite Ikea is celebrating a big birthday next month and the team at the Bristol store are doing it in style. Eastville’s Bristol Ikea will be turning 25 in June, and to celebrate, store staff are throwing a two-day party perfect for the whole family.

On June 15 and 16, in-store shoppers who are members of the Ikea family will be able to join in the free family fun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On its website, the event description says: “Join us to celebrate Ikea Bristol’s 25th birthday with a variety of fun-filled activities.”




There will be a children’s carousel, a candy floss booth, a variety of classic fun fair games and arts and crafts activities.

It takes place in the open-air car park of the Eastville store, which was the site of Bristol Rovers’ old Eastville stadium until it was demolished in 1998. At the time of opening, the store was the ninth in the UK since it began trade, while there are now 22 dotted across the UK and 471 worldwide.

The global company started its journey as a small mail order company in Sweden, but after much success, it is now a well-known and well-loved global brand. On the Ikea website, the company describes the journey it has taken from its humble beginnings to the present day.
