Public Council celebrates EOSSAA transport

Public board athletes won more than 30 gold medals at the 2024 Eastern Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (EOSSAA) Track and Field Championships held May 23 and 24 at Thousand Islands Secondary School. The results included several EOSSAA records.

The host TISS Pirates won the overall team titles for both boys and girls, besting 61 schools and earning a total of 476.5 points across all divisions, board officials noted.

The top six finishers in each event will compete Thursday (May 30) and Friday in Ottawa, a qualifying event for the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Track and Field Championships held at the Eastern Regional Championships. June 7-10 in London, Ont.
