Teen inappropriately touches Bristol bus as police launch CCTV appeal

A girl was reportedly inappropriately touched while traveling on a bus in Bristol. Investigating officers from Avon and Somerset Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to identify following the incident on Monday, February 26.

The girl was traveling on the number 43 bus heading towards Cadbury Heath from Bristol city center when the unknown offender sat down next to her at around 7.40pm. The offense took place while the bus was traveling on Old Market Street.



The man in the CCTV image is described as black, aged in his 50s or 60s and around 5ft 8ins tall. He had gray hair, a long gray beard and wore a black hooded tracksuit with white stripes on the sleeves.

Avon and Somerset Police said: “If you know who this man is or have any other information that could help our investigation, please contact us. If you can help, please call 101 and give the operator reference number 5224050617 or complete the online appeal form.

“You can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form. No personal details are taken, information cannot be tracked or recorded and you won’t go to court or have to speak to the police when you contact us. Those who stop crimes.”
