Man and woman ‘robbed by electric scooter driver’ in Coventry

Police were called after a man and woman were robbed in Coventry. It was said to have happened near Stoke Primary School on Briton Road.

The police were called to the scene at around 11.30pm on Monday (May 27). A resident, who witnessed the incident, said the two victims were approached by a man on an electric scooter, said to be a Xiaomi.



The hooded man is believed to have threatened the victims and said: “What are you looking at?” He then asked to hand over cash, of course.

Police attended the scene but said they found “no sign of anything suspicious”. Witnesses have been urged to get in touch by calling 101 or using WMP Live Chat.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We were called to a report of a robbery on Briton Road in Coventry on Monday (May 27).

“Officers attended but no sign of anything suspicious was found. Anyone who saw anything can contact us on 101 or Live Chat, quoting log number 4495 of 27 May.”
