Drug raid in Ladywood sees £1m of suspected cannabis seized

More than 2,000 suspected cannabis plants, estimated to be worth around £1 million, were seized during a police raid.

West Midlands Police officers executed a drugs warrant in Ladywood, Birmingham, at around 07:45 BST on Wednesday.

Plants and growing equipment were discovered inside the industrial building.

The equipment has been dismantled and the plants will be forensically checked before being destroyed.
