Leeds United will face major interest in a number of key first-team players this summer, one of them being Pascal Struijk.

Leeds face another season in the Championship in 24/25 after losing in the play-off final to Southampton and will need to sell a few players as a result.

Major trades are expected, but the 49ers will have to fight hard to keep the players they see as the future of the club.

Pascal Struijk is expected to be the subject of major offers this summer

Football Insider reported this week that Leeds will be “susceptible” to offers for numerous first-team stars in the summer window.

Among them is star defender Pascal Struijk, who has not played a game for Leeds after picking up an adductor injury around Christmas, with his last game set to be on Boxing Day against Preston.

Struijk is contracted at Elland Road until 2027 and was a target for Club Brugge in the summer window and then PSG in January, where Leeds turned down a bid for him from the Belgian club before standing firm with the French giants. I thought it was too expensive..

Will Leeds be promoted next season?

What did Daniel Farke say about Pascal Struijk?

The chances of Leeds selling Struijk at any price seem very slim given his importance to the team before his injury.

Daniel Farke was keen to emphasize Struijk’s status in the squad while injured, even as Ethan Ampadu shone in his place, saying (via YEP):

I feel a bit crazy that we haven’t talked about him in the last two months, and thank God we didn’t have to because our defensive behavior was spot on.

“He is a cornerstone for our future.”

Leeds won’t sell Struijk, he is the best centre-back in the league

Left-handed centre-backs are very hard to come by at any level and Struijk’s quality is something virtually nobody in this division can match.

Only Hull’s Jacob Greaves could really enter the conversation at this stage, but even then, Struijk is huge for us and his return will be vital.

Get a proper playmaking coach on staff and we might see his production explode on the other end as well.

One thing’s for sure, it’s not going away anytime soon.
