Free Comic Book Day extravaganza

Cornwall, Ontario – On Pitt Street Saturday, May 4th, there was a gathering along the door as Fantasy Realm hosted Free Comic Book Day, coinciding with the beloved Star Wars holiday, “May the Fourth Be with You” . Over 400 enthusiasts, hailing from Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Massena, Akwesasne and local areas surrounding SDG, gathered in downtown Cornwall for a chance to score free comics from top publishers.

Randy Sauve, owner of Fantasy Realm, noted the success of the event, stating, “It was a fantastic lineup this morning. It’s the 23rd edition of Free Comic Book Day, putting comics in the hands of customers and hopefully bringing them back to keep reading the stories that will run throughout the summer from publishers. Kids love it; they’ve been dancing and screaming outside since 9 o’clock, an hour before we open the door.”
