Man stabbed as police called to ‘disturbance’ in Willenhall

A young man was stabbed during a “disturbance involving a number of males” in Willenhall. The man, believed to be 18, is not believed to be in a life-threatening condition following the attack.

Lucknow Road was closed this afternoon (Thursday, May 30) with several police cars spotted in the cordon. West Midlands Police said they were called to reports of a disturbance in the area just before 1.40pm.




Coltham Road was also closed. Officers remain at the scene as inquiries continue.

A spokesman for the force said: “We are investigating after a man was stabbed in Willenhall this afternoon. We were called to a disturbance in the Lucknow Road area involving a number of men just before 1.40pm.

“A man, believed to be 18, was left with non-life threatening injuries. Officers remain at the scene this afternoon and inquiries are continuing.”
