General Election 2024: Ealing decides – EALING.NEWS – The Voice of Ealing 7 cities

With the General Election now set for 4th July 2024, voters across the country and in Ealing will have the opportunity to have their say on who they want to govern the UK and represent them at local level.

In Ealing, there are three constituencies that are currently held by Labor – Ealing Central and Acton by Dr Rupa Huq, Ealing North by James Murray and Ealing Southall by Virendra Sharma.

Mr Sharma resigned on 27 May 2024 and the deputy leader of Ealing Council, Deirdre Costigan, was elected as his replacement.

Dr Huq has held Ealing Central and Action since 2015 and in 2019 had a majority of 13,300 over the Conservatives. James Murray has held Ealing North since 2019, where he had a majority of 12,269 over the Conservatives. Virendra Sharma has been the MP for Ealing Southall since 2007 and in 2019 had a majority of 16,084 over the Conservatives.
