He left the yard, but almost instantly fell back into his old habits

A drug dealer who was given a second chance by the courts is back behind bars after returning to a life of crime.

Joshua Hamilton, of Calder Road, Everton, was given a 22-month suspended prison sentence on September 18 after being convicted of possession with intent to supply heroin. when he was caught with 350 packets of Class A drugs.




He appeared at Liverpool Crown Court today, May 30, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Appearing via video link from HMP Liverpool, he also admitted breached the suspended sentence handed down in 2023.

The court heard that on March 7, 2024, Hamilton was caught in the passenger seat of a taxi with 180 packets of crack cocaine and 170 packets of heroin.

Around £195 in cash was found and scattered in the back of the taxi, however Hamilton said: “The money in the back of the taxi was not mine. I have already pleaded guilty. But the money was not mine. .”

A second man, Ricky Price, of Westmorland Drive, Vauxhall, was found in the back passenger seat. He pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
