Liverpool ‘strengthen’ interest in Federico Chiesa as Arne Slot explains ‘top priority’.

Liverpool will be looking to match their transfer business from the previous summer as Arne Slot prepares to put his stamp on the current side.

The Reds have recruited Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai in a major overhaul of their midfield set-up and further additions are likely to be on the agenda this transfer window.

Chiesa’s claim

Previously linked with the Reds, Juventus striker Federico Chiesa is said to be a target again.

The Italian ended the 2023/24 campaign with ten goals and three assists in 37 appearances, helping his employers to a top-four finish and a Coppa Italia title.

Chiesa is out of contract this time next year, although it appears a new deal will not be agreed in Turin. A latest report from GIVEMESPORT suggested that Liverpool are “keeping an eye” on the player’s contract situation.

The report adds that the Reds have “stepped up” their interest in the 26-year-old following Slot’s appointment and had scouts “in attendance” for Juventus’ recent Coppa Italia triumph.

The Conor Bradley contract

Conor Bradley is set to sign a ‘new deal’ at Liverpool after his breakthrough campaign with the Reds in 2023/24.

The right-back only put pen to paper in December, although he remains one of the lowest earners at Anfield, according to TEAMtalk.

Bradley is therefore set to be rewarded once again with an improved contract, with Slot making it one of his “top priorities” after taking charge of the club.
