Live updates as truck overturns on Switch Island causing ‘severe delays’

There are currently “severe delays” at Switch Island after a lorry overturned.

Merseyside Police said officers are currently dealing with the incident, which was reported at around 7am. According to Inrix traffic management, the incident happened on the roundabout.

The A59 is partially blocked and traffic is backed up in the area. Merseyside Police said this was causing “severe delays”.
