A fire broke out overnight at the industrial unit in Devoran

An inquest into the fire will take place today (May 31)

Firefighters intervened overnight on a fire at an industrial unit in Devoran.

Crews from Falmouth, Truro, Tolvaddon, Helston and Perranporth were called to the scene at around 11.45pm last night (May 30).

At that time, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service is urging residents to keep their doors and windows closed due to heavy plumes of smoke.

In a later update, they said: “The industrial fire incident at Devoran has now ceased and all appliances are back on.

“The fire investigation will take place during the day today. This is all the information we currently have.”
