Sheffield: Plans to turn Walkley bakery into flats

Planning documents show the two-storey premises are currently accessed through doors to Howard Road, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.

In the plans, one apartment would be accessed through the existing entrance, while a second apartment would be accessed through a new door created on Cromwell Street.

Flats three and four, meanwhile, will be accessed via a reconfigured door from Howard Road, with a hallway and new stairwell from ground floor to first floor.

A staircase would be installed to allow access to the former bank vault after the site was converted into a bakery from a Yorkshire Bank branch.

The site is located in an established residential area and is flanked by terraced housing on both sides, the documents added.
