Man charged after Shard End stabbing | News

A 22-year-old man was charged on Monday at the inquest into a stabbing in Shard End.

A man has been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition as part of an investigation into a stabbing in the Shard End, Birmingham.

Syed Kashaff, 22, was arrested on Wednesday following Monday’s disturbance on Heath Way.

A 27-year-old man was found in front of a store with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he remained.

Kashaff was charged yesterday, he is due to appear before magistrates in Birmingham today (Friday).

A firearm and ammunition were recovered during the investigation.

Inspector Tom Lyons from West Midlands Police said: “We are continuing to investigate to establish the details of what happened.

“CCTV inquiries are ongoing and we are speaking to a number of witnesses.

“I would urge anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.

“We will have additional officers in the area to provide reassurance to the community.”
