Owners of XL Bully dogs have been given a stern warning to “provide evidence” by June 30 or face their dog “seized”. They are required to have their dogs neutered by this date and submit a Sterilization Confirmation Form to Defra by July 26, otherwise the dogs will be considered illegal.

Defra said: “Anyone found in possession of these dangerous dogs and not following the strict rules could have their dog confiscated and risk prosecution and a criminal record. If the owners do not send the sterilization confirmation form to Defra by July 26, the dog. they will no longer be spared.”

UK Chief Veterinarian Christine Middlemiss pointed out: “The legal deadline for XL Bullies to be neutered is now just a month away. Don’t risk leaving this to the last minute, owners should book to spay their dog as soon as possible. as much as possible.”

Dr Harding, author of Unleashed: The Phenomena of Status Dogs and Weapon Dogs, expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of the new regulations, saying: “I think we’re going to continue to see that, but I don’t think we really are. we’re going to find out exactly what the outcome of the laws is because the data on all of this is really poor,” in a conversation with the Mirror this week. He added that some owners of cross-breed XL bullies have not registered their dogs because of confusion about the rules, leading to compliance issues.

“There are a lot of dogs out there that have not been exempt and that is a concern. So I don’t think we’ve seen the last of these events. And what I know now is that these young people are already reproducing. other types of dogs to get around this bully XL idea banned.” reports Birmingham Live.

“I wrote about the Pitbulls 10 years ago, and now it’s the same with the XL thugs. I’ve interviewed people who grow and struggle with them, and in five years, those people will struggle and grow the next version. It’s a scourge on society and there’s a real core of people who like to do this sort of thing and it’s appalling and it’s a real danger to the general public.”
