The woman lures the man into the house with a simple text… when he gets there things get ugly

A man was lured to a property in Wakefield and robbed at knifepoint in a terrifying attack.

Nathan Holding, 31, was jailed for three years and nine months for the robbery, which took place after his victim arrived at co-defendant Summer Howarth’s home on August 27 last year.

Leeds Crown Court heard on Thursday that Howarth had previously been the subject of a 12-month community order for handling stolen property, but Holding, of Lower Warrengate in Wakefield, admitted the robbery.

Prosecutor Celine Kart said: “At around 11.30pm he (the victim) went to Summer Howarth’s property, she was a friend of his. An invitation for a drink has been sent via text. He entered the property and said everything was fine. point.

“He noted that she was on her mobile phone and she said she needed to check the front door and then Nathan Holding entered the property and into the room. She said to (the victim) “You’ve been set up” and Nathan. Holding caught the man off the jumper.”

The court heard the man was pinned to the floor as Holding violently “pulled a knife at him”. He held the kitchen knife close to the man’s chest as he demanded his wallet. The man did not have his wallet and instead was ordered to produce his mobile phone, which was taken. He left the property and later identified Holding in an ID parade.

Ms Kart said the phone was discovered at a nearby property. She said: “The respondent at that property was a man who stated that Summer Howarth attended and asked to borrow £20 and instead gave his mobile phone as a deposit.”
