Royal expert explains why Harry’s statement about meeting Charles ‘not nice’

A royal expert said Prince Harry’s statement about not being able to see his father “wasn’t a very nice thing to say”. Majesty Magazine editor-in-chief and royal biographer Ingrid Seward, speaking to GB News, said the statement made yesterday by Harry’s spokesman could have been worded more kindly.

A spokesman for the Duke of Sussex said: “In response to the many questions and ongoing speculation about whether or not the Duke will meet his father while in the UK this week, unfortunately he will not be possible because of Her Majesty’s full schedule. Of course, the duke understands his father’s engagement diary and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.

Harry traveled to London to mark the 10th anniversary of his Paralympic-style invictus tour for wounded and serving veterans.

Ms Seward told GB News: “I think there is a huge trust issue. Like I said, I mean, Harry has already told us that his dad is too busy to see him, which is not a very, very nice thing to say. Better left unsaid, it might. He could have said, “You know, unfortunately, we both have back-to-back dates and it’s not going to work this time, but we’ll see you soon. I will go to Scotland in the summer. Spend quality time with him.'”

Host Andrew Pierce said: “It was quite interesting because Harry’s office made this statement yesterday just saying Harry was hoping to see his dad but his dad’s diary didn’t allow it.” Ingrid replied, “If Harry had said, you know, I made him say it a little differently. He could have said he was hoping to see his father, but unfortunately they were both too busy. It would have been a kind enough remark. “

“I think everything can be fixed if you want to. But the longer he leaves it, the more uncomfortable it will become. And the more time you will need to fix it. So I feel so good, I think it can be fixed and I think it will be fixed, but I don’t think it’s going to be fixed now.”

She speculated that Harry could have already seen Kate: “The thing that surprises me actually is that Harry didn’t see Kate because he was very, very close to Kate. I know he insulted her, but she seems like a very level-headed and forgiving lady. And I mean, maybe he did. Maybe it’s sitting down near Windsor. Maybe he’s staying at Power Park where he stayed before.”

She also said she believes that as a Christian, King Charles has forgiven Harry: “I don’t think for a minute that Charles cut Harry out of his life or didn’t forgive him because he’s a very religious man and you know, religion it’s everything. about forgiveness. I don’t think he forgave him. I think he’s probably very wary of seeing him, but I don’t think it’s because he cut Harry out of his light.
