The £3.50 Asda candle that smells like ‘croissants and coffee’ is the best I’ve had

I’m a big fan of a candle and have a bunch scattered around my house in different scents.

Whether it’s a Christmas candle or something more floral for the warmer weather, you name it, we get it. I’ve seen a lot of hype on TikTok about an Asda candle that’s meant to smell like ‘croissants and coffee’ – with those being two of my favorite things in life, I knew I had to have it.

I’ve always been put off by larger candles from brands like Yankee Candle just because of the price. A large candle from such a brand can set you back at least £15, so when I saw this Asda candle for £3.50 – I knew I had to get it while I could.

I would definitely recommend this candle if you like sweet scents and the strength was strong but not overpowering or sick. In a shade of beige, the candle has a burn time of up to 85 hours and is in a glass jar, which makes it look much more expensive than it is.

On the Asda website, the candle is described as having “notes of espresso coffee, croissant, butter, vanilla and caramel”. The description reads: “Start your day at a charming Parisian cafe with a fresh cup of coffee and a buttery croissant.”

The first thing I noticed about this candle was how quickly the scent filled my living room. It was sweet and more delicious and smelled of freshly baked goods.

I wouldn’t say the coffee smell was too strong, which I kind of understand, because the smell of caffeine can be quite bitter. The balance of sweet and bitter was perfect and I was very impressed with the overall scent.

I would say more than anything, the candle smells like warm caramel, which is definitely a great scent for those with a sweet tooth. For the price you can’t go wrong with this one and it certainly won’t be the last time I buy an Asda candle.
