Mother ‘disgusted’ as children hurl ‘vicious’ racist abuse at little girl in street

A mum has told of her ‘disgust’ after she claims she saw a group of children making ‘monkey noises’ at a man and a little girl in the street.

The woman, who asked not to be named, described the incident, which she claims happened in Ellesmere Port on Thursday night (May 30), in a Facebook post.

Her post read: “Sutton Way area (Bebington Road entrance), (children) making monkey noises across the road to the bus stop to a man and (girl) who was probably not even two years old! Villainous behavior and in 2024 it is despicable.

“They all fell silent when they saw me walk through the back with my children. If I heard them do it again, I’d give them both barrels. In fact, I am disgusted by what I just witnessed. I’m livid to say the least.

When the ECHO approached the woman, she added: “It happened so quickly and I didn’t see it all, I only heard a little bit of it as they were there some time before I left my mum’s house. I can not. I say certainly it was all the children, but certainly some of them I saw then.

“It’s just disgusting and I’m shocked that people still act like this, especially children that age. We should be eliminating racism, not teaching it.”
