Manchester United fans are all saying the same thing about the FA Cup team of the season, the message couldn’t be clearer

Manchester United lifted the FA Cup by a week today, but fans are now left bewildered as three players miss out on the team of the season.

After a grueling season, Manchester United finished on the highest possible note, beating Manchester City at Wembley and lifting silverware in the process.

The 2-1 win was a landmark for the club and arguably the biggest moment fans have been treated to since Sir Alex Ferguson, given who the victory came against and the trophy was lifted.

The run to the final was equally memorable and was a bit of a rollercoaster actually.

Beating Coventry on penalties in the semi-final, an incredible 4-3 win over Liverpool in the quarter-finals, a last-minute winner against Nottingham Forest in the fifth round, a 4-2 win over Newport in the fourth and then beating Wigan.

Now, a week on from the final, the competition’s team of the season has been revealed and there are some notable exclusions from the squad.

How many Manchester United players are in the FA Cup squad of the season

The team of the season was announced on Friday and three Manchester United players were named in the squad, which seems like a low number considering it was United who lifted the trophy.

Andre Onana, Raphael Varane and Diogo Dalot represented United, while there were six Coventry City players.

While it was voted for by the fans, there were three United players who were robbed of their place in the squad.

These three are Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho. Now the fans have had their say.

Manchester United fans can’t believe the trio are snubbed from the FA Cup team of the season

Under the team’s announcement post, United fans had their say, with one confused by Kevin de Bruyne’s inclusion: “De Bruyne again when Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho competition was clear.”

A second fan was also confused by Mainoo’s exclusion: ’18/19 midfielder who started 5 FA Cup games and scored two goals in the competition, one of which was the winning goal in the final not included? Strange.”

One fan simply wrote: “Garnacho, Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes robbed.”

While another was left confused at how cup-winning goalscorer Mainoo missed out: “How is Kobbie not on this list?”

Another argued: “Garnacho should be on the left.”

Finally, one fan pointed out the only thing that matters: “WE’RE STILL WINNING SO DON’T CARE GUYS.”
