‘Pit Bull’ Dog Attack Leaves Woman Injured

A woman has been left with a “nasty injury” after being attacked by a “pit bull type” dog while walking in Nuneaton. Police say the dog initially went after her dog as she walked in the wooded area off Hillcrest Road, Camp Hill.

The woman went inside and that’s when the brown and white pit bull dog attacked her. Police said it left her with a “nasty injury”.




They are now keen to trace the owner of the dog, as well as any witnesses in the area, between 1.30pm and 2pm on Friday, May 24. They urged anyone with information to come forward.

PC Tamburro from Warwickshire Police said: “This attack has left the woman with a nasty hand injury. We have been carrying out inquiries locally and are now keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack or who can help us identify the dog. and its owner”.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting incident 99 of May 25. Details can also be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
