Liam Gallagher will play all the songs from Oasis’ landmark album Definitely Maybe on his new tour, but he’s left out Cigarettes & Alcohol in the build-up.

The frontman and singer, 51, opted for a healthy diet and jogging sessions ahead of Saturday’s first gig, which celebrates three decades since his former band’s debut album. We can reveal that Liam and partner Debbie Gwyther have moved to the Cotswolds while their London home is being renovated.

It coincided with a change of heart for Liam ahead of the tour, which kicks off at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield, South Yorks. A source close to the singer, from Manchester, said: “He takes a lot of country walks with their rescue dog Buttons and eats healthy, cuts down on alcohol and goes for bike rides and runs.

“He knows how quickly these Definitely Maybe concerts sold out and he wants them to be epic shows. Rehearsals went really well and now he can’t wait to get on stage and have it.” Although Liam hasn’t done any formal interviews during rehearsals in recent weeks, he has been speaking to fans on social media, teasing them with details.

As for what he was looking forward to on tour, he said: “He had a battle with the mic and the sound, believe it or not.” Liam told another fan that the concerts will open with Rock’n’Roll Star. It is the first song from Definitely Maybe, which was released by indie rock legends Oasis on August 29, 1994.

The full outfit list is being kept secret, but Liam said of his outfit: “It’s going to be the usual jeans, trainers, parka that’s how I roll.” He also posted a photo yesterday that appeared to show giant birds, which could be part of the set as he promised it had a psychedelic theme.

The birds looked similar to the wooden one seen on the album cover sleeve for Definitely Maybe. Fans wondered if other elements of the sleeve could be incorporated, such as a globe and plants.

After final rehearsals, Liam wrote: “Ok that’s it, call and show BIBLES, see you on Saturday, don’t be late LG.” He will be joined on tour by original Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, who is said to be one of the few people still on good terms with Liam and his brother Noel.
