LIVE updates on M6 and M61 giant queues

Motorists are facing long delays on the M6 ​​and M61 as highways officers respond to an incident in Lancashire. Footage from the M6 ​​appears to show a motorhome overturned on the southbound carriageway near junction 30 for the M61.

Heading north from Greater Manchester, there are queues on the M61 heading back towards Chorley. An eyewitness, who is stuck in queues on the M6, said Manchester Evening News a motorhome was “on its side” on the M6 ​​southbound, causing “big queues”.
