£60m Premier League star keen to join Manchester United

Manchester United will prioritize a number of areas this summer, with centre-back and midfield being two areas in desperate need of attention in the transfer window.

Partly due to a generational change, but also a lack of quality throughout the squad, with one or two injuries immediately exposing United’s weakness.

Signing a right-back may also be high on the club’s priority list as there are question marks over all of United’s natural options there.

Mason Greenwood is set to leave the club and Jadon Sancho is very likely to follow suit, with Antony struggling to make a name for himself two years into his tenure at Old Trafford.

That opened the door for reinforcements and Michael Olise, who finished the Premier League season in spectacular form, became a target for the Reds.

The Frenchman, formerly of Chelsea and Reading, is one of the hottest prospects in the Premier League and is now reported to be keen on a move to Old Trafford.

That’s right for an insider Ben Jacobswho told GiveMeSport: “It’s quite a fluid situation for Manchester United as they don’t really know where to attack first until the exits are fully presented and that will define the budget.

“But in an ideal world, regardless of budget concerns and having to wait for exits, Michael Olise is a priority target for Manchester United and by all accounts he would be very keen to join as well.

So there is serious and credible interest there. And he is the target supported, if you like, by the old regime and this new regime led by INEOS, which now controls the sporting side of things.”

It was previously reported that Crystal Palace, who are in no rush to sell one of their best players, would demand at least £60m to part with their talismanic winger.

There are, however, some concerns about Olise’s fitness after he missed a considerable part of last season due to multiple injuries.
