Leicester City’s next manager has a strong chance as the terrace pick sees a surge in support

Two former Chelsea managers are lining up to replace Enzo Maresca at Leicester City once the Italian departs for Stamford Bridge.

West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan remains the bookies’ favorite to take charge at the King Power Stadium, but Graham Potter is now 5/1 third favorite for the job with Sky Bet, while Maurizio Sarri follows at 6/ 1.

Former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper remains second favorite despite being linked with other top clubs in recent days, while Manchester United hero Ruud van Nistelrooy has seen his chances dwindle in the last two days.

The former PSV Eindhoven boss was surprise third favorite at 7/2 earlier in the week but has since dropped to 7/1.

The sacking of Mauricio Pochettino by Chelsea sparked the current turmoil at the King Power Stadium as the Foxes prepare for life in the Premier League after their title triumph under Maresca, a former assistant to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. The Italian is understood to have agreed a five-year deal to take charge at Stamford Bridge.

Potter made his name in England as manager of Brighton after successful spells abroad. He has long been a backroom favorite at City, returning when the club thought they were in danger of losing Brendan Rodgers.
