Bristol festival announces all female line-up including Sugababes

Bristol’s festival season has finally begun for 2024, and while the likes of Love Saves the Day have come and gone and Upfest is almost done for another year, there’s still plenty to enjoy. From food and drink festivals to music and Pride, there’s something for everyone this summer.

Organizers of the popular Siren festival, Bristol Amphitheatre’s harborside concert series, announced this week that they have finalized their Thursday line-up and this year will see an all-female line-up. With only 29% of DJs identifying as women, Siren wanted to make a concerted effort to “support and highlight incredible female talent in the industry.”

Headlining act Sugarbabes were announced for Thursday earlier this year, but the nineties pop megastars will be joined by a host of other female acts. Kicking off the day off is East London-based Jaguar, who will be treating audiences to her “mix of house, techno and jungle and drum and bass influences”.

Another Londoner will take to the stage later in the day, “wowing festival-goers with her soulful vocals and contemporary R&B production. Tyler Lewis offers audiences a modern interpretation of R&B, featuring “beautiful harmonies and melodies. The last act to perform before handing over the stage to pop classics Sugarbabes will be Peachin’ who will treat the audience to dance floor anthems. The crowd will be “kept on their toes by bouncing between 90s and 2000s hip-hop and R&B, dancehall, afrobeats, ampiano, UK garage, global club and more.”
