Fans are going wild as Liam Gallagher kicks off his Definitely Maybe tour which includes three gigs at Co-Op Live

Liam Gallagher sent fans into a frenzy as he kicked off his Definitely Maybe anniversary tour, which includes three huge homecoming gigs at the new Co-op Live Arena.

The former Oasis frontman kicked off his tour in Sheffield today (June 1) and will head to Co-Op Live on June 15 and 16 before returning on June 27 and 28 for the final two gigs of his solo tour.

Lovers of Oasis are eagerly awaiting the chance to see the iconic frontman again after he promised to perform all the songs from Definitely Maybe to celebrate 30 years since the release of Oasis’ debut album. Before taking to the stage, Liam gave fans in the arena a countdown from 2024 to 1994, the Mirror reports.

Liam and his band, which includes original Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, kicked off the gig at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena with the star’s Rock ‘N’ Roll anthem. Taking to the stage, Liam in true form opted for a baggy coat. When the clock struck in 1994, Liam appeared on screen in his Oasis days.

After opening his concert, Liam later performed a second Oasis track, Columbia, to the sold-out crowd.

Earlier in the evening, before Liam started belting out classic Oasis music, Liverpool band Cast were the main support act, with the first band of the night on stage called Villanelle, which is Liam’s son Gene’s band.

Heading into the weekend, The Mirror told how singer Liam, now 51, opted for a healthy diet and running sessions ahead of the start of his Oasis anniversary tour. Liam and his long-term partner Debbie have moved to the Cotswolds while their London home is being renovated and it has coincided with a change of heart for Liam ahead of the epic tour.
