Motorcyclist seriously injured in accident

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a car in Blackpool.

The man, who is in his 30s, suffered “really significant injuries” in the collision, Lancashire Police said.

The incident involved a Hyundai i20 car and a Honda CB600 motorbike at the junction of Devonshire Road and Galway Avenue at around 10.30am BST.

The driver of the car was not injured, police said.

“This collision has left a man with some really significant injuries,” Sergeant Stuart Hart said.

He appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
