A man dies in a serious three-car crash near the M6 ​​Spaghetti Junction

A man has died following a serious three-car crash near the M6 ​​Spaghetti Junction. Police confirmed medics battled to save the man, who has not been identified but was pronounced dead at the scene earlier (June 2).

Part of the A38(M) Aston Expressway was closed for hours after the collision just after midnight. West Midlands Police say two people fled the scene before officers arrived and were chased away from the collision.




The two men, aged 27 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in police custody.

.An appeal for witnesses has been launched and Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Unfortunately we are dealing with a very serious collision and we are working with partner agencies to establish what caused this collision. Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly passed away.

“The road has now reopened and I would like to thank everyone for their patience with the closures while we gathered evidence and made the road safe.

“I would ask anyone who witnessed the collision or who has a dash cam and hasn’t spoken to us yet to come forward with any information you may have, no matter how small.”
