Liverpool eye stolen Man United top target Michael Olise amid Mohamed Salah exit fears

Liverpool could be put on alert after reports Crystal Palace could turn to Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville if they lose Michael Olise this summer.

The Reds have been frequently linked with right-sided attackers in recent months, given the uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future on Merseyside. There was a public pursuit of the Egyptian from the Middle East last summer after the Saudi Pro League raided the Premier League in their pursuit of stars from the English top flight.

The 31-year-old will enter the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield this summer as the club move into a new chapter under new head coach Arne Slot, who officially began his role on Saturday (June 1).

The Mirror have reported that Oliver Glasner’s side could turn their attention to Leeds striker Summerville if one of their strikers leaves this summer. Liverpool have been credited as one of the teams interested in the Dutchman, while Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle admire Olise and Manchester City and Tottenham are eyeing Eze.

The Red Devils are believed to be frontrunners to sign the Frenchman, ESPN reported in early May. Olise has been a star performer for Palace as they enjoyed a late-season surge under Glasner after he replaced Roy Hodgson.

Palace ended Liverpool’s title hopes as they stunned the Reds in a 1-0 win at Anfield. Olise appeared on the day and it was suggested the 22-year-old has a release clause in his contract which kicks in at the end of the season – raising the interest of United’s minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
