Future bikes, scooters and electric vehicles will be launched in 2024

So far, 2024 has been quite interesting as we have witnessed exciting bike and scooter launches including Bajaj NS400Z, Hero Mavrick 440, Hero Xtreme 125R, Hero Splendor Xtec 2.0, TVS iQube ST and many more. But that’s not all, there are still many exciting releases coming our way in the next six months. Here is a list of what follows:

1. Upcoming Royal Enfield Bike Launches

We got the first invite from Royal Enfield for mid-July and we think it could be for the upcoming Guerilla 450, which has also been spied on several times in the past. The Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 will be the roadster version based on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and will have the same 450cc Sherpa engine. It could be priced around Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Chennai-based manufacturer has also filed a trademark for the name ‘Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin’, which suggests that the Classic 650 could also be launched in 2024. The Classic 650 will have a similar design to the smaller Royal Enfield Classic 350. , and will be based on Royal Enfield’s 650cc platform. Expected to be launched sometime between August and October 2024, it is likely to be priced around Rs 3.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

This could also be followed by the launch of the Royal Enfield Bullet 650, hopefully in late 2024. It will also be based on the brand’s 650cc platform. The Bullet 650 is likely to be priced around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom).

2. Upcoming Bajaj Bike Launches

As CEO Rajiv Bajaj said in an interview, the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike will be launched on June 18, 2024. It will be India’s first CNG bike and is likely to be priced around Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom).

The Bajaj Pulsar N125 has been spotted testing a few times and is likely to be launched around the festive season between October and November 2024. Bajaj may equip the bike with a brand new 125cc engine as the manufacturer’s current 125cc bikes are quite obsolete. It may be priced somewhere around Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bajaj recently launched the Pulsar NS400Z in India. However, the “Z” in its name gives the possibility of another variant of the bike, probably with a different suffix. Meanwhile, Rajiv Bajaj in an interview also hinted at a better Pulsar. The upcoming variant of the Pulsar NS400 is likely to be more premium with advanced features like a TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation and a front radial tyre, whereas the NS400Z only gets a rear radial tyre.

The premium variant of the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 could be launched in late 2024 and is likely to come with a premium of around Rs 10,000 or Rs 12,000 over the Pulsar NS400Z, which costs Rs 1,85,000 (intro, ex-showroom Delhi).

As for the EV, Bajaj plans to launch a more affordable Chetak variant in June 2024. It was also earlier spied with the previous generation Chetak’s LCD console, a physical key, an apron-mounted utility hook and two open holes (the current generation Chetak has a closed glove box). It can get basic connectivity or get a connectivity package as an optional feature.

To keep the cost down, Bajaj fitted it with steel wheels and drum brakes at both ends. It is likely to be priced around Rs 1 lakh or maybe even below that (ex-showroom including Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme or EMPS 2024 subsidy).

3. Launch of Hero Xtreme 210R

Hero MotoCorp may launch the Xtreme 210R in India around the festive season, probably in October 2024. The bike will sport an aggressive streetfighter design and will feature the same 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine from the Karizma XMR. It is expected to be priced around Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

4. Launch of BGauss RUV350 electric scooter

Pune-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer BGauss is all set to launch its new electric scooter called the RUV350 on June 4, 2024. The teaser suggests that the electric scooter will sport a retro design and could be positioned among the brand’s. entry-level BGauss C12 and flagship BGauss D12 electric scooters.

5. Future Triumph Bike Releases

After the success of the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X, the British manufacturer plans to launch the Triumph Thruxton 400 on the same 400cc platform. Previous spy photos suggest it will have a cafe racer design with a frame-mounted half-carriage and a round headlight. Expected to be priced somewhat similar to the Scrambler 400X which is priced at Rs 2,64,496 (ex-showroom), it could be launched sometime in late 2024. Having said that, we might get a first look at the bike at EICMA 2024. .

The British manufacturer will also launch the 2024 Triumph Dayton 660 in India. The bike is already listed on the Triumph India website, with prices to be announced soon. The sports bike comes with a 660cc liquid-cooled in-line 3-cylinder engine that delivers 95 PS and 69 Nm. It is expected to be launched in October 2024. We believe it could be priced around Rs 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

6. Next launch of KTM 390 Adventure and 390 Enduro from 2024

The 2024 KTM 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure R (which can also be called the 390 Enduro), have been spotted testing a few times in India. Spy shots reveal that the upcoming 390 Adventure has a rally-inspired design with a large windshield and rally tower, while the 390 Enduro is more stripped-down and off-road focused. It will be powered by the same 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the 390 Duke, but is expected to be in a different guise.

The upcoming 390 is expected to be priced around Rs 3.80 lakh, while the 390 Enduro may cost somewhere around Rs 3.60 lakh (both ex-showroom prices). Both bikes are expected to be launched by the end of 2024 if we’re lucky. However, they may be revealed at EICMA 2024 ahead of launch.

7. Release Yamaha MT-09

Yamaha might also launch the MT-09 in India, as revealed earlier at a dealership event. The Naked Streetfighter is one of the most powerful bikes in the Japanese manufacturer’s portfolio. It is powered by an 847 cc 3-cylinder transverse plane liquid-cooled engine that produces 115 PS and 87.5 Nm. The MT-09 is also likely to be launched in the festive season, perhaps in October-November 2024, with an estimated price tag of Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom).

8. Launch of BMW R 1300 GS 2024

The BMW R 1300 GS will be launched as a successor to the BMW R 1250 GS. It comes with a completely new, sleeker look that does away with the asymmetric design of the headlights. The bike will also be lighter and is expected to be more capable off-road. It is expected to be launched in mid-June and is likely to be priced between Rs 25-30 lakh (ex-showroom).
