Leeds United star at center of new Premier League transfer tug-of-war

Crystal Palace could turn their attention to Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville. . . IF they lose star Michael Olise this summer.

Summerville has already attracted interest from Chelsea and Liverpool, with the Dutchman valued at around £30million. Although Leeds will be reluctant to sell, they may need to do so to comply with financial regulations.

The player himself has given no indication of his future and while he is believed to be happy at Leeds, a big move to the Premier League could be too tempting to turn down. However, while some of the biggest top-flight names are weighing up their options, there could also be interest from Palace.

A strong end to the season under Oliver Glasner saw Eagles stars such as Olise, Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta hit the headlines, with Olise and Eze particularly in demand this summer. Olise is valued at around £60m and reports suggest Palace will turn straight to Summerville if they need to replace the winger.

Summerville’s 20 goals for Leeds earned him the Championship player of the season award and it is no surprise that his name has been linked with a move to the Premier League. The 22-year-old has a huge future ahead of him, with Palace hoping to convince him to come to Selhurst Park if he has a first-team place to fill.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Manchester City and Tottenham have all been linked with Olise, with inflated Premier League fees meaning he is likely to command almost double the expected price for Summerville. That could leave Palace with cash to spend, although they will face competition from bigger Premier League clubs if they bid to lure Summerville to south London.
