“The show was just fantastic. Michael Bell looked more like Bowie than Bowie. The musicians were stellar and at the top of their game. The choreography matches the delivery well. Michael’s presentation was spot on… Full house loved the call and response segments and took part in the show. And, there were even a few audience members who dressed up and danced in the aisle.” — Pat Porter, radio personality, 4680Q

“I saw the show last night in Toronto and was blown away. I was a bit apprehensive at first as I’ve been a Bowie fan since I was a teenager and worried that the band might not do the songs justice. I was overwhelmingly excited by what I heard and saw. From the first note I was captivated. The biggest takeaway is that you can tell the frontman is truly a devoted fan. I loved the way you honored David Bowie. I hope to see you again very soon.”

What the industry has to say:

“Five stars. Unbelievable. I could have watched it for two more hours,” says Richard Crouse, CTV News, CP24, NEWSTALK 1010 and CTV host. PopLife.

“By far the best and coolest Bowie tribute I’ve seen,” says Cadillac Productions’ Sam Grosso.

“How close,” says MusikMirage.com.

Everyone’s talking about The Bowie Lives: A Bowie Spectacular — Canada’s sensational tribute to David Bowie.

Michael Bell is an award-winning vocalist who channels the sound and stylings of David Bowie and, with the help of an all-star band, multimedia, theater and costumes, has captured the imagination of fans young and old.

Michael discovered Bowie as a teenager and played songs with some of his early bands. In the 80s, his first theatrical production, All Bowie Changes, toured the A circuit before hanging up his “Ziggy” in the early ’90s. Decades have passed.

After David’s untimely death on January 10, 2016, Michael’s calling returned—his calling to honor the man who helped shape his life. Together with musical director Michael Beauclerc, they began auditioning players to complete a band capable of performing some of rock’s most challenging material.
