Families and adults looking for a different kind of entertainment this summer can book their ticket for unique artistic and cultural cruises filled with pirates and haunted spirits.

Pirate Life Children’s Theatre, an interactive theater production for families, and Escape the Ghost Ship, an immersive escape game for adults, are now departing from Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton and Barrie on a custom-built, pirate-themed passenger ship. .

“Where else can you climb aboard a Transport Canada-approved pirate ship, interact with pirates and ghosts, take part in missions and challenges, and take in a live show – all while actually sailing on a real boat? ” says Mat Vales, chief executive of Art & Water, the non-profit arts and culture charity responsible for Pirate Life and Escape the Ghost Ship. “We’ve created two distinct and truly memorable experiences designed to capture the imagination as we invite guests to play, create and imagine with us outdoors on the water.”

Pirate Life is a family-friendly daytime show where guests embark on a space-filled adventure as our team of professional actors bring exciting tales of daring pirates, mysterious maps and epic quests to life. From water cannons to treasure hunts, every show is a thrilling ride.

Escape the Ghost Ship is an evening escape game for adults where you and your crew plan to take control of an abandoned ship, only to discover that it is cursed. To secure your ship – and your immortal souls – you’ll complete challenges to help free the ghosts of Bethany Bishop and her crew before the curse claims its next victims.

“Both of our experiences are about sharing moments of laughter, excitement and discovery in an atmosphere that encourages social connection through the magic of live performance,” says Vales.

Tickets for Pirate Life Children’s Theater and Escape the Ghost Ship are now available at www.piratelife.ca and www.escapetheship.com. Performance times and days vary by production and location, running throughout the summer from May to October.
