Truck and car crash on key Bristol route

There have been delays on a busy route to Bristol following a crash between a car and a lorry. Emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash on the A370 at Plimsoll Bridge in Ashton just before 6pm on Sunday afternoon (June 2).

Traffic monitoring sources reported congestion in the area, the route being partially blocked. The car involved in the collision was able to drive onto the pavement to clear the road for other drivers.

Police were on the scene to direct traffic. Avon and Somerset Police have been contacted for further comment.
