Hull FC confirm the signing of the Wigan striker

Hull FC have announced the loan of Tiaki Chan from Wigan Warriors.

The 23-year-old Australian-born French international has joined the club on a short-term loan deal.

Chan, who is capable of playing at both prop and back-row, can add further forward options to Simon Grix’s side ahead of Sunday’s Super League game against London Broncos.

Chan has 62 senior caps, previously representing Saint-Estève XIII, Catalans Dragons and Toulouse Olympique before joining the Warriors ahead of the 2024 campaign.

He made his Super League debut for Catalans Dragons against Leeds Rhinos in 2022.

Chan made twelve appearances for Els Draksand also spent time on loan at fellow French side Toulouse Olympique in 2023.

Hull FC director of rugby Richie Myler said: “We are grateful to Wigan for allowing Tiaki to join us in a position we are currently in lightly.

“Tiaki has a real desire to compete at the highest level and we are delighted to have him in our group.

“I’m excited to see what he can bring us in the coming weeks.”

This follows on from a loan move for Sam Eseh from Wigan to Castleford Tigers which was announced earlier today.

Wigan’s interim manager John Duffy said: “Hull FC will provide Tiaki with an opportunity to gain valuable game time over the next two weeks.

“We look forward to seeing him play some Super League minutes in the coming weeks.”

Tiaki Chan will be immediately available for Hull FC’s upcoming matches.
