The exhaust accident left the motorcyclist seriously injured

A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries following a crash with a car in Ash Green. Paramedics and police were called to the collision at the junction of Bell Drive and Church Lane on Friday afternoon (May 31).

Warwickshire Police confirmed there was a collision between a motorbike and a Mercedes near St Giles Church in Church Lane. Police closed the road while medics from West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) treated a man who was riding a bicycle.



He was then taken to Coventry and Warwickshire University Hospital for further treatment. A WMAS spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike near the junction of Bell Drive and Church Lane at 1.17pm on Friday, an ambulance attended the scene.” .

The spokesman added: “On arrival we discovered a patient, a male, who was a motorcyclist. He was treated for serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening, before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 139 of May 31.
