A man from Telford has been banned from driving over Birmingham street racing

Stewart will have to take an extended test before he can get behind the wheel again, West Midlands Police said.

Street racing, also known as cruising cars, is banned in Birmingham, as well as Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall, after High Court injunctions were introduced in February.

Prohibitions prohibit persons from driving, being a passenger or a rider at an assembly where motor racing or motor stunts or other dangerous or obstructive driving is carried on.

Incidents of street racing should be reported to the police, a force spokesman said.
