Coventry City to benefit from £935m deal as Mark Robins plans play-off fee renewal

At least 24 Coventry City games will be broadcast live next season as part of Sky Sports’ new deal with the EFL.

The £935m deal was signed in April and will see Sky Sports broadcast more than 1,000 EFL matches next season. Mark Robins will be hoping Sky Blues fans see another play-off bid after the broadcaster committed to showing at least half of their games in the 2024/25 campaign. League One teams have guaranteed 20 live matches.

All opening weekend, final day, midweek and bank holiday games – including Easter, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day – will be on TV.

Each full EFL match weekend will see ten live matches – including three Championship, two League One and two League Two matches – all broadcast live at 12.30pm on Saturday. All 15 play-off matches, all 93 Carabao Cup matches and all 127 EFL Trophy matches will also be broadcast live.

All games will have live commentary but, in a development from the previous red button facility, it will be shown on a new channel called Sky Sports+ and viewers will be able to pause and rewind. All games will have a minimum of eight rooms.

The program list is to be announced on Wednesday, June 26 at 9:00 AM. Sky says television selections, dates and times for games from August to September will be confirmed in early July, and all selections up to January will be confirmed before the start of the season.
