Beverly residents are urged to keep chickens away from the cemetery

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly Animal Control will increase patrols of Central Cemetery after a recent increase in complaints about dogs walking where they are not allowed.

“Cemeteries are not for dogs and therefore not a good place to walk your dogs,” Beverly Animal Control said. “Please respect those buried at these locations and their families by following this rule and finding a suitable place to walk your dogs. Nearby Beverly Common and Independence Park locations welcome dogs on leashes year-round.”
