Greater Manchester is set to see rising temperatures over the next week as we head into the summer months – but not before a few cool spells.

We had a warm but rainy start to June, the wet weather in the region is set to continue this week. Temperatures also look set to drop slightly, hovering around 15C by the weekend.

We can expect to see even more showers next week, with some cloudy conditions looking less summery, according to forecasters.

But there is hope – the sun is on the way, with the region set to record highs of 21C at the end of next week. You can see the full weather forecast below.

Tuesday

Forecasters predict we’ll see light rain showers and a moderate breeze on Tuesday, with intermittent sunshine. However, the day is expected to be mostly wet with highs of 15C.

Wednesday

Rainy and windy conditions are expected to continue into Wednesday, although we may see drier spells after about 11am. Temperatures stay around 14C.

Thursday

Any breezes are slated to lighten Wednesday, with a few showers expected, mostly in the morning. Highs of 15C.

Friday

Friday looks to be a bit windier than Thursday, with light rain showers expected to continue. However, it is set to be mostly dry after 2pm. Highs of 15C.

Saturday

Forecasters are predicting a rainy start to the weekend on Saturday morning, but say it should worsen before 2pm. We may see a few sunny spells through the afternoon and late evening.

Temperatures are starting to rise, around 16C.

Sunday

On Sunday we can expect to see light cloud and a gentle breeze as temperatures continue to rise. Highs of 17C.

Monday Sunday

Next week, forecasters say we will see temperatures rise steadily from highs of 18C on Monday to highs of 21C on Sunday. Tuesday, Friday and Saturday look to be the sunniest and driest days, with showers expected on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
