League One transfers confirmed: Former Bristol Rovers striker among seven early signings at Rotherham

With the summer transfer window still a week away from opening on June 14, the transfer carousel is yet to fully kick off in League One, with the exception of Rotherham United’s early dealings.

The newly relegated outfit have already announced seven free transfers, with the capture of ex-Bristol Rovers forward Jonson Clarke-Harris and former Portsmouth defenders Joe Rafferty and Sean Raggett some of the most eye-catching offers.

However, the Millers’ business so far accounts for half of the entire league’s transfers and reinforces expectations that they will be there or thereabouts in the automatic promotion race this term. It’s still early days, only five other clubs have made a permanent signing so far.

Rovers are one of the majority of League One sides yet to complete a signing, but the hope is that they will make some breakthroughs in the coming weeks to have at least a few new faces through the door in time for the first day of pre-season on July 1 .

In addition to Rotherham, newly-promoted Mansfield Town have done some eye-catching business so far, bringing in striker Lee Gregory on a free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday, as well as Australia midfielder Keanu Baccus from St Mirren.

Promoted Stockport County and play-off semi-finalists Peterborough United are the only clubs to have paid a fee so far with bids for Colchester United midfielder Jay Mingi and Harrogate Town winger Abraham Odoh respectively. Both fees are currently undisclosed, with deals set to be finalized once the window opens next Thursday.

Stevenage, Wigan Athletic and Wycombe Wanderers are the other sides to have made a signing so far with the full list of confirmed bids in League One at the time of writing below.
