25 brilliant photos of Manchester in June, from the 1960s to the 1990s

There are some good reasons to look forward to June in Manchester, including Parklife and other festivals, as well as the start of Euro 2024 for football fans in the city.

And since we’re only at the beginning of June 2024, it’s always interesting to look back at what happened in the same month in years past.

Thanks to the Mirrorpix photo archives, we can look back at what happened in Manchester in June – from royal visits and street parties, to the annual taxi convoy or keeping cool at the now-defunct Galleon Pool in Didsbury.
