The driver smashes the car window in a fit of rage

A Mercedes driver smashed the windows of a vehicle in a road rage incident just outside Bristol on Thursday 30 May. The male driver of the silver Mercedes was believed to have clipped a black Audi on Hutton Moor Road in Weston-super-Mare. , after following the car from Calea Herluin.

The Mercedes driver left the vehicle and approached the Audi, punching a window until it broke. The man then fled the scene when a white BMW pulled up behind the two cars.




Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the road incident to come forward. They believe the driver of the BMW may have information that could help police.

The driver of the BMW is described as a man in his early 20s, approximately 5ft 8 or 9in with a medium build. He also has brown hair, blue eyes, and light stubble.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information, including dash cam footage, is asked to call 101 and quote reference 5224139211.

A statement from Avon and Somerset Police said: “Detectives investigating an incident in Weston-super-Mare on Thursday (May 30) in which a man smashed a car window are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“Around 7.40pm, a silver Mercedes cut in front of a black Audi after following it from Herluin Way onto Hutton Moor Road. A man driving a Mercedes then left his car and approached the Audi, punching a window until it shattered. He then left the scene after a person in a white BMW pulled up behind the two cars.
