Friends Jamie, Connor, Kevin and Alex shot to fame while on a ‘drinking brunch’ in Birmingham. The boys admitted they were confused as to why they became an internet sensation in their tight tops, bulging muscles and skinny jeans.

Speaking about their sudden jump to internet fame, Connor said: “We were just at a boozy lads brunch and asked a random stranger to take a picture of us and then all of a sudden it went viral. What people don’t know is that the photo came out before it became a meme, so it came as a shock to all of us.

“And I didn’t get it – we were just wearing what everyone else was wearing at the time. People said we were behind the times and wondered why we wore skinny jeans for so long, but they only see a snapshot. We stopped wearing skinny jeans basically as soon as the picture came out because fashion had changed.”
